Peter Collis

Peter Collis RHA was born in London and studied at the Epsom College of Art. He is one of Ireland's finest and best-known expressionist painters, he has been described by Aidan Dunne of the 'Irish Times' as "the Irish Cezanne", whilst Desmond McAvock wrote of him: "Like Cezanne he is really more interested in the structure of his scenes than in their transitory appearance.  He can bind his observation into a cohesive, tightly controlled but always sensitive design.". His work has been exhibited throughout Ireland and in the United States and Europe.
