Benjamin Crawford

Cork born Crawford studied at the Crawford College of Art and Design where he was awarded  a First Class Honours Degree. His work revolves around an interest in creating bizarre spaces and imaginary landscapes peopled with symbols and characters relating to his life. Ben's paintings are playful and his approach to painting combines printing, collage and drawing with oil sticks and crayons- as well as more traditional painting techniques. "I try to paint things the way I would have seen them when I was seven. The world seemed a lot more colourful and exaggerated back then"
